We are pleased to share our grant making plans for the year ahead, as we continue our mission to transform lives and build sustainable communities.

Since 1979, KCCF has invested more than £100m in charitable causes working across the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and internationally. Each year KCCF awards around £5m in grants through our large and small grant programmes, supporting more than 150 organisations across our six funding themes.

We will continue to award small and large grants in 2025/26. Please refer to our website for more details on our grant programmes.

Small grants

The programme will reopen this year and continue to support smaller non-profit organisations. The dates will be published on our website and social media platforms at least two weeks prior to the application window opening.

In the last 10 years, we have supported more than 900 organisations through the small grants programme.  The number of applications we receive has increased significantly over the past few years. On average we received almost 1,500 small grant applications and fund approximately 100 of these each year.

In light of the increased demand, we will be reviewing how our small grants can best support organisations and help unlock additional funding to enable small charities to provide vital support to communities. This means that there are likely to be some changes to our eligibility criteria and application process in 25/26. We will be consulting both former and current grantees to inform our future plans.

We know that it is an incredibly challenging time for many non-profit organisations  facing rising demand for services. We remain committed to supporting the sector as best we can. Please do check our website and social media regularly for any further updates.

Large grants

Our large grants programme will continue to support a smaller number of organisations and applications are by invitation only. KCCF is unable to accept unsolicited proposals to the large grant programmes. If we are interested in your organisation, we will be in touch directly.

KCCF large grants provide support to a range of charities including The Kings Trust’s work helping young people and under-represented communities in the UK and internationally, and The King’s Foundation’s work creating sustainable communities through its placemaking projects and providing practical education programmes to change people’s lives.

We have also invested more than £2.5m in our strategic partnership programme since its inception in 2023 with a focus on environmental sustainability and social inclusion. Learn more about the strategic partnership grants we support here

Coronation Food Project grants

KCCF will continue to deliver the Coronation Food Project grants programme. To date the programme has awarded more than £700k to 33 nonprofit organisations working to reduce food waste and food insecurity. More information is available in our First Year Impact Report.

Please do check our website for updates for further information on the grants programme.
